It has been lovely to welcome the children back and hear all about their summer adventures. The children have worked extremely hard this week and are settling well. It has been lovely hearing all the children read and visited the library. We kick started English by reading 'The Queen's hat' and practised writing in sentences. In Maths, we have been practising our careful counting skills and recognising numbers.
Home Learning
Next week, your child will come home with a reading book, library book and their Little Wandle e-book will be issued. Please read with your child at least 3 times a week and make a note in their reading diary.
Maths fluency cards will also be sent home, please practise these and send back to school once your child is secure, ready for the next set.
Reminders/ Information
- P.E. Days (Autumn 1)- Monday's and Tuesday's (Chance to Shine Cricket skills)
- Library Day - Friday's
- While the weather is hot ensure your child has sun cream on, a sun hat and a water bottle.
