We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year 3

Friday Blog - Friday 3rd November

Good afternoon everyone,

Year 3 had such a fantastic time at Southampton City Art Gallery on Tuesday. The children were all fantastically behaved throughout the day. They listened and participated brilliantly with loads of enthusiasm and were so interested in everything they saw. During our workshop session the children had a chance to try out mono-printing, creating fantastic works of art inspired by an Arctic exhibition that is currently at the gallery. We are going to have another go at the skills we were taught during our art lessons this half-term. I will send them home with the children next week. Many thanks to my parent helpers who came with us on Tuesday. Without you, trips would not be possible. The children are already wondering where we might go on our next exciting adventure!

Forest School groups have swapped for this half-term - so if your child wasn't at forest school last half-term, they will be now. There was no forest school yesterday due to the adverse weather conditions, but it will continue next week. Please make sure your child is prepared with suitable clothing and footwear -wellies and waterproofs are best.

Attached below is a flyer from the art gallery that gives you 10% off entry to their other venues. Visits to the gallery are free, if your child wants to go again.

Have a lovely weekend,

Clare
