Vision and Values
At Brockenhurst CE Primary School our vision is to inspire, sustain and develop high quality teaching and learning; with excellent behaviours and safety for all, founded on Christian values.
At Brockenhurst C of E Primary School we are passionate about the nurture and care of every child. We respect all children. We are vigilant about children’s safety and wellbeing. We identify and overcome barriers to learning, so that every child is able to achieve the very best that he or she can.
We develop resilient, reflective and resourceful learners who value the importance of meaningful relationships.
In order to be competent, independent learners, children are encouraged to be critical, creative and evaluative thinkers who examine their own values systems.
Through coaching, we bring about positive change and identify next steps for learning.
We offer equality of opportunities for all children. Our pupils make informed choices enabling them to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
We encourage our children to appreciate difference and celebrate cultural diversity.
We explore the use of new technologies and celebrate their life-enhancing qualities whilst maintaining a responsible attitude to on-line involvement, and ensuring that the children are able to keep themselves and others secure.
We establish a mutually supportive relationship with all parents and carers, so that we successfully work together in the task of raising a child to adulthood.
Using our local environment to support learning enables us to develop in the children a positive wonderment for the beauty of the New Forest and the natural world, and the importance of conservation and sustainability.
Children are encouraged to ask challenging questions, learn from mistakes and take risks.
We encourage our children to dream.
